General Settlement Fund:
Claims Committee:
Applications for compensation to the independent Claims Committee for property losses were to have been submitted by 28 May 2003.
Arbitration Panel for In Rem Restitution:
Applications for restitution of publicly-owned (on the cut off day 17 January 2001) properties or movable assets of Jewish Community Organizations are decided on by the independent Arbitration Panel for In Rem Restitution. "Public property" in the meaning of the General Settlement Fund Law (GSF Law) is present if the requested property (the requested movable assets of a Jewish Community Organization) were owned by the Federation or a legal person solely owned by the Federation on the cut off day, 17 January 2001. Furthermore, within the scope of Sec. 38 GSF Law, Austrian provinces and municipalities could and can give the Arbitration Panel jurisdiction to examine applications for restitution of provincial or municipal property (opt-in). The deadlines for the Federation and those provinces and municipalities that have made use of the opt-in are listed below:
