The Austrian National Library and the seized publications

The stamp "P 38" (= Polizei 1938) was used during the National Socialist era to label seized publications and is found in each of the works restituted to the National Fund on 1st June 2010. The picture gallery also shows historical photos of a depot at the National Library where the publications confiscated in the National Socialist era were stored and a photo of the General Director of the National Library at the time, Paul Heigl.
