Kurt Hofmann

born on 21 January 1933

Serves on the examination board of the Chamber of Chartered Accountants, chairs a commission under the Expert Witnesses and Court Interpreters' Act, retired as a judge.

1955 University of Vienna (Dr. iur.)

1959 appointed as a judge. Worked at different courts in Austria, most recently at the Higher Regional Court Vienna (1977) and the Supreme Court (1980). Retired as its Vice-President in 1998.

Has authored several specialist publications focusing on civil law and European private law.

Has been a member of the Claims Committee appointed by Austria since 2001.
