Arbitration Panel for In Rem Restitution

The independent Arbitration Panel for in rem restitution decides upon applications for the return of publicly-owned property pursuant to the General Settlement Fund Law.

One member each is appointed by the Government of the United States of America and the Austrian Federal Government. The chairperson is appointed by these two members.

Prof. Josef Aicher is the Chairman of the Arbitration Panel; Prof. August Reinisch was appointed by the American side and former ambassador Erich Kussbach represents the Austrian side.
